Bonjour, Paris meets LDN

Is it just me, or have we all gone completely Paris mad? Browsing round Oxford Circus Topshop today…because one can NEVER have too many clothes right? I noticed that a disproportional number of their t-shirts, jumpers and accessories were decorated with giant Eifel Tower motifs or more simply the word “Paris.” Even the typically touristy “I heart Paris” slogans on a shapeless white background when wore with leggings can be somewhat trendy.

Sex and the City, arguably the biggest fashion based series ever to hit our screens, dedicated its two penultimate episodes to the streets of Paris. London seems to have followed this obsession with the French city, blue and white stripes dominate many of our UK based High Street shops, even in our own capital we are focusing on making another fashion city iconic.

So what is it about Paris that seems to have us all hooked, the Eifel Tower is instantly recognizable, even to those who have not set foot on Parisian land, and it just so happens it looks equally pleasing on the front of one of this seasons cropped vests… excuse me while I pop out to order myself a
beret!
